The Little Mermaid
The Little Mermaid is back on the silver screen! As a whole new generation falls in love with Ariel and her aquatic friends, I foresee resurgence of all things mermaid, including books. I’m basing this purely on my own experience of obsessively recreating “Part of Your World (Reprise)” on the beach as a child. This mermaid mania can also be a great opportunity to talk with young people about caring for our oceans and the wildlife who live there. Here are some picture books to share with your mermaid-loving young readers!
