Owen Wister’s pioneering Western novel about a noble cowboy in the untamed Wyoming Territory, freshly repackaged for the Union Square & Co. Signature Editions line.

On the frontier of 1880s Wyoming, one man stands apart. Known only as the Virginian, he is a man of few words but profound honor. When a villainous cattle rustler named Trampas threatens to destroy everything he holds dear, the Virginian is forced into a deadly rivalry that will be the ultimate test of his personal code of justice. An unforgettable tale that launched the legend of the American cowboy and captured the passion at the heart of the American West.
