Silvia López

About the Author

Silvia López is a first-generation Cuban American. She holds a bachelor’s in English, a specialist’s degree in educational technology, and a master’s in library science. For over three decades, she served as a children’s librarian in Miami, Florida. Silvia is the author of fifteen books for children, including Uno Más, One More, as well as two Florida Book Award winners: Just Right Family: An Adoption Story and Queen of Tejano Music: Selena, which is also a Junior Library Guild selection. Geraldo Valério was born in Brazil, where he received a bachelor of arts in drawing, followed by a master of arts at New York University. He is the illustrator of many highly acclaimed books for children, including Giraffe Math, which was a CBC-NSTA Best Stem Book of the Year and a CBC Librarian Favorite, as well as being the author of My Book of Butterflies, My Book of Birds, and Busy, Busy Birds. His work has been published in Canada, Brazil, Portugal, France, the UK, and China.
