In this steamy second chance cowboy romance a famous actor finds himself back on his family’s ranch…and working alongside with the girl who got away.

When TV star Hayes Crawford returns to the cattle ranch where he grew up after his brother’s rodeo accident, he’s forced to not just face his hurting family, but also the girl he left for Hollywood, Adelaide Meyers. Addie, now managing the Crawford’s last-hope bed-and-breakfast while nursing her own broken dreams of culinary school, is decidedly not a fan of Hayes’s work—or of Hayes.

As Hayes trades red carpets for ranch work and publicity stunts for late-night recipe testing with Addie, old sparks reignite, but his LA agent is demanding his return, the ranch faces outside threats, and a future together seems impossible.

Caught between the fame he’s built and the small town—and the woman—he never stopped loving, Hayes must decide if there’s still a place for him at home or if some doors once passed through will forever remain closed.

About the Author

Sarah Jane Pounds was born in the Pacific Northwest, where she writes both adult romance and young adult fiction.

Her love of books began in middle school, and she volunteered at her local library, where simply being surrounded by the smell of books was pure bliss. Though she spent years writing short stories, it wasn’t until after her kids started preschool that Sarah committed to crafting full-length novels. Romance holds a special place in her heart, and she’ll never get over the joy of telling the journey of two people falling in love.

When she isn’t writing, Sarah enjoys camping, reading, horseback riding, cosplaying, or rewatching her favorite comfort shows, Supernatural and Vampire Diaries.

Sarah lives in Washington state with her husband and two children.
