Nevin Martell is an avid forager, recipe developer, and journalist who has been writing about foraging and food for 15 years. His work has appeared in The Washington Post, National Geographic, The Boston Globe, AARP, USA Today, Men’s Journal, Fortune, Travel + Leisure, The Daily Beast, Bloomberg, BBC, and many other publications. He is also the author of eight books, including Red Truck Bakery Cookbook: Gold-Standard Recipes from America’s Favorite Rural Bakery and The Founding Farmers Cookbook: 100 Recipes for True Food & Drink. He is the cofounder of the Washington D.C. food festival New Kitchens On The Block and the Pay It Furloughed initiative and is frequently in the media, including appearances on Netflix’s hit series Somebody Feed Phil, The Frommer’s Travel Show, Expedia’s Out Travel the System, The Kojo Nnamdi Show, Bookman’s Corner, Chatter On Books, and elsewhere.
