Natalia Sylvester is the author of Everyone Knows You Go Home, which won an International Latino Book Award and which Little A published in 2018 (16,000 copies sold across all formats). More recently, Sylvester has written several award-winning books for kids and teens, including the Pura Belpré- and Schneider Family-honor winning Breathe and Count Back From Ten, the picture book A Maleta Full of Treasure, and the forthcoming No Way Never Sisters. Sylvester’s non-fiction has appeared in the New York Times, Bustle, Catapult, Electric Literature, Latina magazine, and McSweeney’s. Her essays have been anthologized in collections such as A Map is Only One Story and A Measure of Belonging: Writers of Color on the New American South. Born in Peru, she lives in Miami.
