Emme Ribeiro Collins is the chef and owner of Baiana, an Afro-Brazilian restaurant in Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market. Born in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, and raised in Seattle, Emme is deeply proud of her Brazilian heritage. Her cooking celebrates the flavors and traditions of Brazil, with a special emphasis on the cuisine of Bahia, while telling the broader story of the African diaspora through food. A two-time Food Network champion, Emme won both Chopped and Beat Bobby Flay. She has also appeared on Alex vs. America, Bobby’s Triple Threat, and Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Food Fight, earning recognition for her bold flavors and deep knowledge of Brazilian cuisine. Emme is also the host of Dishin’ Up Diaspora, a podcast featuring conversations with chefs, writers, and food professionals about how culinary traditions travel, evolve, and connect communities across the globe.
