The Vampirates e-book novella follows Connor, Jez, and Bart as they are on leave from The Diablo. While celebrating at the port town of Calle del Marinero, the young pirates meet Kally, a beautiful, yet wheel-chair bound sailor who invites them to join her crew on The Lorelei as they set out on a diving trip. As Bart starts to fall for Kally, the pirates discover that Kally and her crew are really mermaids. While they are enjoying their time on The Lorelei, Connor can't help but wonder if the sea legends about mermaids luring sailors out to sea to take them prisoner may be true. When the mermaids' true motives are revealed, Connor must call on all of his strength and courage to save his friends and return to The Diablo.
Justin wrote this short 10,000 word Vampirates novella for World Book Day, but because of the length it never made sense to bring it to the US. However, Justin's ebooks have been selling well and so he would like to see Dead Deep published in the US as an eBook.
