Kat can see spirits, but what's even worse is the fact that spirits, especially the exceptionally needy ones, can see her. As she discovers, there's really no way to run from them, and sometimes being sought out by a whole bunch of dead people can be pretty scary.
So, when Kat and her best friend Jac find that the abandoned house next door leads them on a search for a missing boy, Kat's not sure if she wants to help--or even if she can. She could turn to her mother, a renown medium, for advice, but for some reason this feels like something Kat has to handle on her own. Will she be able to help solve the mystery of the abandoned house and the lost boy, and can she really handle her so-called "gift?"
