About the Author

Seth J. Gillihan, PhD, is a licensed psychologist, therapist, author, and podcast host. He completed his PhD in psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a full-time faculty member from 2008-2012. Dr. Gillihan has extensive experience in cognitive behavioral and mindfulness-based therapies for anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, and insomnia. He left his full-time position at Penn in 2012 and opened a private practice in psychotherapy. Dr. Gillihan’s books have been translated into 16 languages.
