About the Author

Sanni McCandless Honnold is a life coach, writer, entrepreneur, and rock climber. After beginning her career in marketing at an energy-efficiency startup, she left the nine-to-five world to pursue a more adventurous, values-driven life. In 2017, she became a certified life coach and has since guided hundreds of clients through major life transitions and intentional life design. She is the co-founder of Outwild, a series of outdoor wellness retreats; was awarded Fresh Chalk’s Best Seattle Life Coaches; has been featured on many prominent podcasts, including The Tony Robbins podcast; and is the author of a forthcoming children’s book, Be a Mountain (May 2027, Henry Holt). Her essays have been published in Outside Magazine, and she was featured in the Oscar-winning documentary Free Solo alongside her husband, climber Alex Honnold. They split their time between Las Vegas and the road with their two daughters, June and Summer.
