From one of the most exciting and original voices in fantasy comes the third book following the peculiar adventures of the Hexologists, Isolde and Warren Wilby. With a magical titan on the loose, have the Hexologists met their match?

“Josiah Bancroft is a magician.” — Madeline Miller, New York Times bestselling author of Circe

As the nation’s leading investigators of the paranormal, the Hexologists are accustomed to confronting monsters and unraveling mysteries that fall outside the bounds of the everyday. Yet, when they encounter a ghostly whale flying over the streets of their fair city, Isolde and Warren Wilby are left with more questions than answers.

Even as the ghostly behemoth terrorizes their homeland, indiscriminately devouring fairies, angels, and imps, the Wilbies discover they may have to face the menace on their own. The nation’s magical practitioners have begun to go missing, and Isolde fears she could be next.

With no hope of reinforcement and few clues to guide them, the Hexologists will have to rely upon their wits, mettle, and enduring love as they risk it all to stop a Tempest of Titans.

“Josiah Bancroft’s imagination will astound you. One of the most inventive fantasy authors out there.” — Fonda Lee, author of the Green Bone Saga

About the Author

Josiah Bancroft started writing novels when he was twelve, and by the time he finished his first, he was an addict. Eventually, the writing of Senlin Ascends began, a fantasy adventure, not so unlike the stories that got him addicted to words in the first place. He wanted to do for others what his favorite writers had done for him: namely, to pick them up and to carry them to a wonderful and perilous world that is spinning very fast. If he’s done that with this book, then he’s happy. Josiah lives in Philadelphia with his wife, Sharon, their daughter Maddie, and their two rabbits, Mabel and Chaplin.
