Greil Marcus is the author of many books, including Mystery Train, Lipstick Traces, A History of Rock ‘n’ Roll in Ten Songs, and Folk Music: A Biography of Bob Dylan in Seven Songs. With Werner Sollors, he is the editor of A New Literary History of America. Marcus has delivered the Massey lecture at Harvard, the Windham-Campbell lecture at Yale, and was named Chevalier dans l’ordre des Arts et Lettres by the French Government in order to honor his extraordinary contributions to arts and literature. He divides his time between Oakland, California and Minneapolis, Minnesota.
