New York-January 11, 2021
Jayme Boucher will join Hachette Book Group as Director of Hachette Speakers Bureau (HSB) on January 20.
Boucher comes to Hachette Book Group (HBG) from the Penguin Random House Speakers Bureau, where she spent ten years as a founding member and senior leader of the boutique lecture agency within Penguin Random House. During this time, she has held director-level positions in the Random House, Penguin, and Crown divisions, working closely with many notable speakers including Ed Catmull, Lee Child, Junot Diaz, Lisa Gardner, John Green, Lauren Groff, Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, Charlaine Harris, Daniel Libeskind, Ruth Ozeki, Jeff Shaara, Elizabeth Strout, Alice Waters, Isabel Wilkerson, and Jacqueline Woodson.
Hachette Speakers Bureau, which was established in 2009 in partnership with Greater Talent Network, will re-launch this year as an in-house venture under Boucher’s leadership. HSB will operate as a fully integrated agency in collaboration with our Hachette publishing divisions, and provide paid speaking events, both virtual and in-person, for all of HBG’s imprints.
Hachette Book Group CEO Michael Pietsch said, “Jayme Boucher’s industry knowledge, entrepreneurial drive, professional network, and years of working superbly and hand in hand with authors will be invaluable as we launch this important new business venture. HSB will be an excellent vehicle for the authors we publish to gain exposure to new audiences.”
Boucher added, “This is such an exciting time for books, authors, and events, and I’m thrilled to join the team at Hachette Book Group to establish its very own dedicated in-house lecture agency with the Hachette Speakers Bureau. Now more than ever we have an opportunity to reach and engage with audiences to amplify our authors’ voices, and having an in-house Speakers Bureau is a great way to do that. I’m excited to join a fantastic group of new colleagues as we grow HSB together!”
