Kristen Kim manages the Basic Books Group backlist and oversees new and updated editions of the lists’ key titles. She also acquires across Basic’s imprints with a particular focus on Seal Press. Her areas of interest include American history, sociology, science, art, and culture, and she has worked on titles including Maggie Gram’s The Invention of Design, Starre Vartan’s The Stronger Sex, and Martha Jones’s The Trouble of Color.
