Ivy Givens publishes a wide range of titles in science, natural history, and mathematics at Basic. She is particularly drawn to emerging ideas and fundamental topics in the life sciences. Before joining Basic, Ivy worked at Mariner Books, where her list included Tom Zeller Jr.’s The Headache, The Forgotten Sense by Jonas Olofsson, and Chain Reaction by Ijeoma Uchegbu. Forthcoming titles on her Basic list include Netherworld by Chelsea Wood and works by Sonja Vernes, John Mittermeier, and Lucy Cooke.
