#1 Bestsellers: HBG has 13 titles on the New York Times Bestseller list dated January 14, including one #1—The People vs, Alex Cross by James Patterson (Little, Brown) tops the Combined Print & Ebook Bestsellers (Fiction) list. HBG’s distribution clients have nine titles on the list this week. HBG also has 13 titles on the USA Today bestseller list, see the full list here.

#1 Diet Book: For the eighth year in a row, the DASH Diet (Grand Central Life & Style) has been chosen by U.S. News & World Report as the #1 Best Diet Overall (as well as the #1 in the Best Diets for Healthy Eatingand Best Heart-Healthy Diets categories).

Major media tie-in: Paramount will launch a miniseries based on WACO: A Survivor’s Story by David Thibodeau (Hachette Books) on January 24, supported by major media and a massive national advertising and promotion campaign. Thibodeau is featured in an ABC 20/20 two-hour documentary special on Waco, a Variety Magazine cover story, interviews on NPR’s Midday and NowThis, and in stories in Entertainment Weekly, TIME, Deadline, the Boston Globe, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, and more.

POTUS44’s Favorite Books: Former President Barack Obama posted his favorite books of 2017, and his list includes The Power by Naomi Alderman (L,B) and Coach Wooden and Me by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (GCP).
