William Richard Lethaby

About the Author

William Richard Lethaby (1857-1931) was an English architect and historian involved in the Arts and Crafts and Modern movements.  He helped to erase distinctions between pure design and manufacture.  His approach to architecture may be summed up in one quote:  “A house should be as efficient as a bicycle.”
