About the Author

Thomas Kelly Cheyne (1841-1915) was an English Biblical critic. Ordained in 1864, he held a fellowship at Oxford during which he was made a member of the Old Testament revision company of Tendring. He was appointed Oriel Professor of the Interpretation of Holy Scripture at Rochester. His works include The Relations Between Civilized and Uncivilized Races (1864) and The Reconciliation of Races and Religions (1914).
