Mary Wilder Tileston (1843-1934) compiled several volumes of Christian devotional readings in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, including Joy and Strength for the Pilgrim’s Day, Great Souls at Prayer; Prayers, Ancient and Modern, Selected and Arranged for Daily Reading; The Wisdom of Jesus; and Tender and True: Poems of Love.
