Julia Patton

About the Author

Julia Patton was born in Greenville, Michigan in 1873. She attended Oberlin College and Columbia University. She wrote The English Village: A Literary Study, 1750-1850 for her doctoral dissertation at Columbia. Her only book, it has remained influential to this day.
