Henry Spackman Pancoast (1858-1928) was instructor of English literature at the De Laney School in Philadelphia. His works include An Introduction to American Literature (1898), Standard English Poems: Spenser to Tennyson (1906), A First Book in English Literature (1910), and The Vista of English Verse (1911).
