George Peabody Gooch (1873-1968) was a British journalist and historian who never held a formal academic position. Briefly a Liberal Party Member of Parliament, he is known for his revisionist views on World War I. His works include Germany (1926), Maria Theresa and Other Studies (1951), Under Six Reigns (1958), and Catherine the Great and Other Studies (1966).
