About the Author

Frederic Louis Huidekoper (1874-1940) was the founder of the patriotic Army League of the United States and a member of the Military Service Institution. His ideas on military preparedness were praised by Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft. His writings include Military Studies and The History of the 33rd Division.
