Bertha Runkle

Bertha Runkle (1879–1958) was an American novelist and playwright. Her first known poem was published in Stedman’s American Anthology before her thirteenth birthday. The best-known of her five novels, The Helmet of Navarre, was written when she was twenty years old, and Runkle later adapted it for Broadway.
