Hachette Book Group US Distribution and Fast-Growing Independent Children’s Publisher Nosy Crow Extend Partnership

New York, NY, June 16, 2025 — Hachette Book Group US Distribution and independent children’s publisher Nosy Crow have agreed to extend their US and Canada sales and distribution relationship, which began in 2023.
Since launching its first list in North America in 2023, Nosy Crow has seen rapid growth in sales, titles, and staff, including the addition of publisher Katie Cunningham in March 2025. Continuing its emphasis on child-focused, parent-friendly books for ages 0-12, Nosy Crow plans to publish nearly 100 titles in 2025, with growth coming from expansion into new genres, such as “Supa Nova,” the debut graphic novel by Chanté Timothy; and new series, including “Toddler Talk,” which supports speech development, and “This Little. . .,” a new touch-and-feel board book series by internationally bestselling author Ingela P. Arrhenius.
Hachette Book Group US Distribution will support the award-winning publisher’s growth by continuing to sell and distribute Nosy Crow titles to booksellers across the United States and Canada.
“Hachette shares Nosy Crow’s vision of making high-quality, memorable titles available to readers wherever they find books – whether that’s in independents, chains, mass retailers, or schools and libraries. We are looking forward to continuing our relationship as we grow,” said John Mendelson, Nosy Crow President.
“Our sales and distribution partnership with Nosy Crow in the US and Canada grows from strength to strength,” said Russell Evans, Business Development Director, Hachette UK Distribution and HBG US Distribution. “We’re excited about the future and supporting their continued growth. This ongoing relationship underpins our advocacy towards indie publishers and our commitment towards best-in-class sales and distribution services.”
“When we first met with John and the team, we understood their vision for launching Nosy Crow’s US-based publishing business and were excited to be a part of it,” said Todd McGarity, VP US Business Development, Hachette Book Group. “Today, we are proud to celebrate their success and growth trajectory and look forward to continuing our partnership.”
