Hachette Book Group Launches New Imprint, REQUITED
REQUITED, a new adult imprint, will be led by the Little, Brown Books for Young Readers publishing team
First releases under the new imprint scheduled for early 2026
NEW YORK (February 25, 2025) — Little, Brown Books for Young Readers (LBYR), a division of Hachette Book Group (HBG), is launching the company’s first dedicated New Adult imprint, REQUITED, it was announced today by LBYR President and Publisher, Megan Tingley.
The REQUITED list will offer fast-paced, romantic, bingeable novels across genres that center characters in their upper teens and twenties as they navigate early adulthood. The imprint will have a boutique approach, with a balanced list of 10-20 tiles a year and a focus on author partnership.

We have a long history of publishing blockbuster Young Adult properties with huge crossover adult readerships, including Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga; Holly Black’s Folk of the Air & Elfame series; and Jennifer Lynn Barnes’s The Inheritance Games Saga; among many others,” said Tingley. “This imprint gives us a platform to not only publish new voices and reach new readers, but also to provide a lifelong home for our authors interested in writing for older readers while staying with their trusted publishing team. Already in the LBYR fold, Gray’s YA debut, Bitten, is scheduled for publication on September 30, 2025, and rights have already been sold in nine territories in heated auctions or preempts.
Alice Jerman joins the Requited team as Senior Editor. Most recently with Entangled Publishing, Jerman worked on some of their biggest properties across the new adult, YA, and adult categories, including the #1 bestselling Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros. Also playing a central role for the imprint alongside Yoskowitz and Jerman is Senior Editor Ruqayyah Daud—Jordan Stephanie Gray’s editor as well as the editor of Tigest Girma’s 2024 #1 New York Times bestselling breakout debut, Immortal Dark.
