1. How to Enter: To enter, visit Hachette Book Group, Inc. (the “Sponsor”)’s sweepstakes Instagram post (“Sponsor’s Sweepstakes Page”) to Comment, Follow, and Enter (the “Entry Form”). Limit one entry per person/household. No automated entry devices and/or programs permitted. All entries become the sole and exclusive property of Sponsor, and receipt of entries will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, stolen, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, misdirected, technically corrupted, or garbled entries, which will be disqualified, or problems with entries of any kind. Proof of submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor.

2. Eligibility: Participation in this sweepstakes (the “Promotion”) is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years or older as of 2/19/26 (the “Promotion Start Date”). Void outside of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, and where prohibited, taxed, or restricted by law. The following persons are not eligible to enter or win this Promotion:

  • Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor Union Square & Co. and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, manufacturers, or distributors; or
  • Immediate family members (including parents, children, siblings, or spouses) or members of the same household (whether related or not) of any of the foregoing persons.

All applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

3. Promotion Start/End Dates: This Promotion begins at 12:01 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on the Promotion Start Date and ends at 11:59 PM ET on 2/26/26 (the “Promotion End Date”).

4. Random Drawing/Odds: On or about 2 business days after the Promotion End Date, Sponsor will select the potential winner(s) in a random drawing from all eligible entries. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for the drawing.

5. Prizes: The prize consists of six Union Square & Co. Signature Ediitons titles, and a $100 AMC Theaters Gift Card (the “Prize”) (approximate retail value U.S. $117.94). 1 Prize is available.See Sponsor’s Sweepstakes Page for more details.Prizes are non-transferable. No substitutions or cash redemptions. In the case of unavailability of any Prize, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All unspecified expenses are the responsibility of the winner(s). All federal, state, and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner(s).

6. Notification: Potential winner(s) selected will be notified by phone or email on or about 3 business days after the Promotion End Date and may be required to sign and return, where legal, an Affidavit of Eligibility and Compliance with Official Rules/Release of Liability (“Winner Eligibility Document“) within seven days of Sponsor’s notification of such potential winner’s winning status. If a potential winner is considered a minor in their jurisdiction of residence, the Winner Eligibility Document must be signed by such potential winner’s parent or legal guardian, and the Prize will be delivered to such minor’s parent or legal guardian and awarded in the name of such minor’s parent or legal guardian. If any potential winner cannot be contacted within five days of Sponsor’s first notification attempt, if any Prize or notification is returned as undeliverable, if any potential winner rejects the Prize, or if any potential winner is not compliant with these Official Rules, such potential winner will forfeit the Prize (and no compensation will be given to such potential winner), and an alternate potential winner will be selected from all remaining eligible entries.

7. Conditions: Participation in this Promotion constitutes each entrant’s permission for Sponsor to use their name, city, and state in any marketing, promotional, or business materials. By participating in this Promotion, each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Union Square & Co. and its advertising and promotion agencies, and each of their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors (collectively, “Released Entities“), from any and all liability, loss, harm, damage, injury, cost, or expense whatsoever, including, without limitation, for (i) property damage, personal injury, and/or death which may occur in connection with, preparation for, or participation in this Promotion; (ii) possession, acceptance, use, and/or misuse of the Prize or any element thereof; (iii) participation in any Promotion-related activity; and/or (iv) claims based on publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy, and/or merchandise delivery. There is no purchase or sales presentation required to participate in this Promotion, and a purchase does not increase the odds of winning.

8. Additional Terms: In case of dispute as to the identity of any entrant (or minor entrant’s parent or guardian), entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., a business, school, or other institution) responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Any potential winner may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that such potential winner is the Authorized Account Holder of the email address associated with the winning entry. Any attempted form of entry other than as set forth above is prohibited. None of the Released Entities are responsible for technical, hardware, software, telephone, mail, or other communications malfunctions; errors or failures of any kind; lost or unavailable network connections; website, Internet, or Internet service provider availability; unauthorized human intervention; traffic congestion; or incomplete or inaccurate capture of entry information (regardless of cause), including any injury or damage to any person’s computer relating to or resulting from participating in this Promotion or downloading any materials related to this Promotion. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, extend, or suspend this Promotion should, in its sole discretion, virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of this Promotion. In such case, Sponsor may select the potential winner(s) from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process, the operation of this Promotion, or Sponsor’s Sweepstakes Page. Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in this Promotion or winning the Prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of this Promotion by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other entrants or Sponsor representatives. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE RELATED TO THIS PROMOTION OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Limitation of Liability; Disclaimer of Warranties: IN NO EVENT WILL THE RELEASED ENTITIES BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THIS PROMOTION AND/OR USE OF THE PRIZE(S) OR ANY ELEMENT THEREOF. IN NO EVENT WILL ANY RELEASED ENTITY’S TOTAL LIABILITY TO ANY ENTRANT FOR ANY AND ALL DAMAGES, LOSSES, OR CAUSES OF ACTION RELATED TO THIS PROMOTION EXCEED $10. 10. Use of Data; Newsletters: Sponsor will be collecting personal data about entrants online and through the Entry Form in accordance with its privacy policy. By participating in this Promotion, each entrant hereby agrees to Sponsor’s collection and usage of their personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy and acknowledges and accepts the Privacy Policy. Each entrant acknowledges that this Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Inc., Meta Platforms, Inc., X Corp., or TikTok Inc. (the “Social Media Platforms”) and releases each Social Media Platform for any and all liability arising from or related to this Promotion.

14. Governing Law. This Promotion and these Official Rules will be governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any action or proceeding arising out of or related to this Promotion or these Official Rules may only be brought in federal or state courts located in New York County in the State of New York.
