Michael Szczerban leads the Voracious and Little, Brown Spark imprints at Little, Brown, publishing books that help people lead better lives: more delicious, more beautiful, and more fun; happier, healthier, and more successful. His list spans award-winning cookbooks, lifestyle guides, and books on art, design, pop culture, and humor.
His authors have produced many New York Times bestsellers and million-copy series, including cookbooks from Christopher Kimball’s Milk Street, Pete Souza’s photo books (Obama: An Intimate Portrait and others), and Sarah Knight’s No F*cks Given Guides.
Other projects include books by Accidentally Wes Anderson, Pamela Anderson, Cabin Porn, Johnny Cash, Esther Choi, Ayesha Curry, Kia Damon, Depths of Wikipedia, Bryan Ford, Sam Heughan, Vivian Howard, Daniel Humm, Randy Lau, Brad Leone, Wendy MacNaughton, and Marcus Samuelsson. His books have won James Beard and IACP cookbook awards, as well as the Thurber Prize for American Humor; they have also been finalists for the Financial Times Business Book of the Year and the National Book Critics Circle Award.
Before joining Little, Brown in 2014, Michael acquired Samin Nosrat’s mega-bestseller Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat at Simon & Schuster, and helped develop the TED Books line. He is a Lawrence Peel Ashmead Editorial Award recipient, Publishers Weekly Star Watch honoree, and former contributor to Poets & Writers.
