Lauren Ortiz, Senior Publicity Manager
Lauren Ortiz joined Little, Brown in 2020 as an associate publicist for Little, Brown Spark and Voracious. Now, as a senior publicity manager with the imprints, she spearheads campaigns for lifestyle, cooking, health and wellness, business, science, and psychology titles. In her time at Little, Brown, she’s worked with celebrities, influencers, and impactful thought-leaders from every corner of the world. Highlights include Dr. Judith Joseph’s High Functioning, Outlander star Sam Heughan’s Waypoints, Hannah Ritchie’s Not the End of the World, Marcela Valladolid’s Familia, Christopher Kimball’s Milk Street franchise, and many more.
Prior to joining Little, Brown, Lauren worked at NBCUniversal as a Page in NBCU’s Page Program and later as a publicity coordinator with NBC Entertainment, where she assisted in publicity campaigns for late night- and prime-time television shows including Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In addition to her love of publicity, Lauren is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts at HBG, serving as a co-lead of the Employees of Color employee resources group and on the Hachette Book Group DE&I advisory board. A graduate of Rutgers Business School – New Brunswick, she has a BS in business marketing.
