Peyton Young, Editorial Assistant

Peyton Young, Editorial Assistant

Peyton Young is an Editorial Assistant at Little, Brown and Little, Brown Spark. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English literature with a minor in Professional Writing from Winthrop University. Peyton has had the opportunity to work with a range of distinguished authors, including Renée Watson, Brian Platzer, Kwame Alexander, Jessica Anthony, Suzanne B. O’Brien, Jenny Slate, Emily Adrian, Tanya Smith, Patrick Dougher, Delroy Lindo, and Amy Bowers Cordalis. Her editorial interests center on fiction that explores complex relationships, social outliers, and morally ambiguous characters, as well as speculative and psychological narratives that reflect contemporary issues through inventive, genre-bending storytelling. In nonfiction, she seeks thought-provoking works centering queer experiences—particularly those on the asexuality spectrum—and projects that thoughtfully engage with the intersections of race, class, gender, and sexuality. In her free time, she enjoys playing The Sims as a way to unwind from the anxieties of modern life.
