Liv Ryan, Assistant Editor

Liv Ryan joined Little, Brown in 2021, supporting the Mulholland Books team, and is growing a list of upmarket and literary-leaning horror, suspense, and speculative fiction. She is particularly drawn to fiction with a dark heartbeat and a daring or surprising structure. Above all, she looks for an undeniable sense of voice. Her own list includes Swallow the Ghost, one of the New York Times’ picks for Best Crime Novel of the Year, and the forthcoming novels I’ll Quit When I’m Dead, The Fox Hunt, and Odessa. She has been fortunate to work on titles from acclaimed and bestselling authors such as Kerri Maniscalco, Walter Mosley, Gabino Iglesias, and Elizabeth Hand. Before joining Little, Brown, Liv held positions as a bookseller at Shakespeare & Company and as an editorial intern at Kirkus Reviews.
