Julia DeVarti, Publishing Coordinator

Julia DeVarti is an Assistant Editor and the Assistant Manager of Backlist Marketing at Little, Brown and Company. They acquire books primarily in the fantasy, romance, and romantasy categories, but love any books that blend genres and portray fully-fleshed worlds that ask big questions about our own—whether those worlds are real or fantastical. Books Julia has edited include Kalie Cassidy’s In the Veins of the Drowning and Kalie Reid’s The Sacred Space Between. They also work on Little, Brown’s storied backlist and work with estates and brand authors including Daphne du Maurier, Michael Connelly, and Elin Hilderbrand. Before joining the Little, Brown team, Julia worked at multiple independent bookstores and freelanced across the industry, working with Random House Children’s Books, Prestel Publishing, Bettina Schrewe Literary Scouting, and others.
