Gabriella Mongelli is a Senior Editor at Little, Brown, where she acquires literary and upmarket fiction, along with select narrative nonfiction. She is always on the lookout for bold, distinct new voices and writing that has a strong sense of place and compelling plot. She is drawn towards projects that subvert genre expectations and blend big-hearted storytelling with sharp cultural observation.
Prior to joining Little, Brown, she worked at G. P. Putnam’s Sons and Park Row Books, where she edited and acquired acclaimed titles such as Bobby Finger’s Four Squares and The Old Place (a Barnes & Noble Monthly Fiction Pick), Courtney Preiss’s bestselling Welcome Home, Caroline Kline, Lauren McBrayer’s Like a House on Fire (a Belletrist Book Club Pick), and the bestselling rom-coms of Falon Ballard. Gabriella also published works by bestselling authors such as Eleanor Brown, Jillian Cantor, and John Sanford, among others.
At Little, Brown her titles include Seduction Theory by Emily Adrian, Little One by Olivia Muenter, 200 Monas by Jan Saenz, and Main Characters by Bobby Palmer. She currently is an instructor with New York University’s Center for Publishing, Writing, and Media.
