Florence Yue, Senior Art Director of James Patterson Marketing
Florence Yue is the Senior Art Director for the James Patterson publishing program, responsible for creating all James Patterson advertising and promotional materials. She works in a wide variety of mediums—print, digital, and video. Florence has concepted and produced, as well as edited, TV/video spots (including a recent voice over for Lies He Told Me—with James Patterson’s blessing). She designs large-scale point-of-purchase displays for major retailers: The First Gentleman, The President Is Missing, Eruption. Before joining the Patterson group, she was the sole ad/promo designer for Little, Brown Young Readers where she helped launch The Gossip Girl, Twilight and Maximum Ride. She co-authored/art directed with James Patterson and his son Jack a fully illustrated humor book about penguins acting like silly humans entitled Penguins of America.
Outside her publishing work, she worked at Bristol Myers Squibb as an art director /designer helping to launch major pharmaceutical brands (Abilify, Plavix, Taxol). Prior to BMS, she was the director of marketing for Warner Bros. International Television, working on the launch of Friends, ER, and The West Wing. She won Gold and Silver PROMAX awards for her work there.
