Liz Garriga is a Senior Director of Publicity at Little, Brown. Previously, she has held publicity positions at W. W. Norton; Farrar, Straus and Giroux; and Simon & Schuster. She has worked with some of the most admired, prize-winning, and bestselling authors of our time, including Malcolm Gladwell, Stacy Schiff, Justice John Paul Stevens, Willie Nelson, Carlos Santana, Leslie Jamison, Ayad Akhtar, Luis Alberto Urrea, Jennifer Haigh, Malala Yousafzai, Kwame Alexander, and Joshua Ferris. Among the bestselling nonfiction books she’s publicized are Malcolm Gladwell’s David and Goliath, Talking to Strangers, and Revenge of the Tipping Point, Stacy Schiff’s Cleopatra, The Witches, and The Revolutionary, the Los Angeles Times Book Prize winner They Can’t Kill Us All by Wesley Lowery, the Los Angeles Times Book Prize finalist The Heat Will Kill You First by Jeff Goodell, and the first and only diary by a still-imprisoned Guantánamo detainee the New York Times bestseller Guantanamo Diary by Mohamedou Ould Slahi, released as the film The Mauritanian.
Originally from New England, Liz is based in Los Angeles. She serves as a mentor for People of Color in Publishing, helping to guide young people who are interested in pursuing publishing careers, and she has spoken at various industry conferences and events including PEN America’s Reading Between the Lines, the Los Angeles Review of Books Publishing Workshop, the Los Angeles Times Book Festival, Write Girl, and Las Comadres Writers Conference.
