Meet the Team

Christy Ottaviano is Vice President and Publisher of Christy Ottaviano Books. Christy was Publisher of her eponymous imprint at Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group for twelve years prior to moving to Little, Brown Young Readers. She has edited many New York Times and Indie bestsellers, and her books have garnered such honors as the National Book Award; the Caldecott Honor; the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award; the Ezra Jack Keats Award; the EB White Read Aloud Award; the Coretta Scott King and John Steptoe awards; the Bank Street College Josette Frank, Claudia Lewis, and Cook awards; the Edgar Award; the NCTE Orbis Pictus Award; The Society of Illustrator’s Silver Medal and Founders awards; as well as many ALA Notable books. She holds graduate degrees in English and American Literature and in English and Art Education from Boston College and Columbia University.

Jessica Anderson is a Senior Editor at Christy Ottaviano Books and works on a wide range of middle grade and YA fiction and nonfiction, as well as select picture books and graphic novels. She is the editor of the Orbis Pictus Award honoree Indigenous Ingenuity: A Celebration of Traditional North American Knowledge by Deidre Havrelock and Edward Kay; the Morris Award finalist Black Girl Unlimited by Echo Brown; The Night Before Eid: A Muslim Family Story by Aya Khalil, illustrated by Rashin Kheiriyeh, and Dream by the Shadows by Logan Karlie, among other titles. Originally from Montreal, Canada, Jessica is a native French speaker. She holds a bachelor’s degree in comparative literature from Columbia University.
Olivia McKeon is an Editorial Assistant at Christy Ottaviano Books. She supports VP, Publisher, Christy Ottaviano and Senior Editor, Jessica Anderson on titles ranging from picture books to YA. Previously, she spent a year in a sales & marketing position at ACC Art Books and was a bookseller in the children’s section at Barnes & Noble. She also had the honor of serving as a judge for the Lambda Literary Awards in the LGBTQ+ Middle Grade category. She holds a bachelor’s degree in creative writing from Ithaca College.
