Mauro DiPreta is the Vice President and Publisher of Hachette Books, a division which houses Hachette Books and Black Dog & Leventhal. Hachette’s mission is simple: to publish great books that engage, inspire, and provoke. Hachette Books was established in 2014 to publish leading writers and thinkers in narrative nonfiction, business, technology, history, health and wellness, pop culture, and memoir. Their list also includes quality suspense and contemporary fiction. Regardless of the category, Hachette Books is committed to publishing with intent, providing authors with an exceptional publishing experience, and to fostering a passionate community of writers, readers, editors, and booksellers who discuss and debate the ideas of the day.
Mauro began his publishing career in 1991, first at Warner Books before moving to HarperCollins where he spent over fifteen years at Harper, William Morrow, and co-founded It Books. Later he became Editor-in-Chief of Crown Archetype, an imprint of Penguin Random House, before finally coming to HBG.
