Christmas Cocktail: Mrs. Claus’ Helper

Holiday: Christmas, but really, any holiday where women are running the show (i.e. every holiday)!

Yeah, we know the man in red gets all the credit, but who’s really in charge of Christmas toyland? Mrs. Claus, that’s who.

This is a drink for all women who are getting ready for the holidays.

Mrs. Claus’ Helper

1-½ oz. white rum
½ oz. white crème de cacao
½ oz. simple syrup
½ cup fresh strawberries (about 4 to 5 medium-sized berries, green tops removed)
3 small scoops vanilla or strawberry ice cream
glass: poco grande, martini, or coupe
garnish: whipped cream and strawberry

Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend on high for 2 to 3 minutes or until smooth and creamy. Pour into a glass. Cut halfway through the middle of the strawberry garnish. Dollop fresh whipped cream in the center of the glass, and then perch the strawberry garnish on the edge of the glass.

Note: To give this drink some holiday glam, sprinkle pink and red sugar crystals on top of the cream.
