Digging up the remains of an ancient band of Vikings, archaeologist Hildy is astounded when they rise from the dead, bearing an appetite for seagulls, a twelve-thousand-year-old grudge, and a thirst for war.

Tom Holt was born in London in 1961. At Oxford he studied bar billiards, ancient Greek agriculture and the care and feeding of small, temperamental Japanese motorcycle engines; interests which led him, perhaps inevitably, to qualify as a solicitor and emigrate to Somerset, where he specialized in death and taxes for seven years before going straight in 1995. Now a full-time writer, he lives in Chard, Somerset, with his wife, one daughter and the unmistakable scent of blood, wafting in on the breeze from the local meat-packing plant.
  • Praise for the Novels of Tom Holt:

"Blonde Bombshell is a clever, funny, tirelessly inventive, apocalyptic leg-hump of a book." --- Christopher Moore, New York Times bestselling author

"Wacky humor bubbles through the polished narrative ... Holt doesn't skimp on the flashes of brilliance." --- SFX

"Uniquely twisted...cracking gags..." --- The Guardian (UK)

"Frantically wacky and willfully confusing...gratifyingly clever and very amusing." --- Mail on Sunday
