Comfortable in their new, specially designed safe house, Max and the rest of the Flock finally begin to feel optimistic about their newly-gained freedom. But when a whole new breed of terrifying enemies--"M-Geeks," as Max refers to them--appears, Max's peaceful reprieve comes to a crashing halt. These creatures--part machine, part human, totally destructive--are in the service of the ominous Mr. Chu. He desperately wants them on his team, but if he can't have them, he'll make sure nobody else can either!
As the Flock is busy battling off a new breed of terrifying enemies, trouble is bubbling to the surface of the ocean: someone-or something-is decimating ships and sea life off Hawaii's coast, and Max and her flock find themselves sucked into the Navy's top-secret investigation of the catastrophe. They think it will be the perfect chance to escape from Mr. Chu, who has his eyes on the Flock and their unique abilities, and his marauding gang of thugs--especially since it means a trip to Hawaii--but all does not go according to plan and the danger continues to threaten Max and her friends on all fronts. Can they protect themselves from Mr. Chu and the ocean from utter destruction?
