Once Was Lost

By Sara Zarr

Full Description

Critical Praise

Our Hip Scouts review Once Was Lost:

Sara Zarr's Once was Lost is a heartbreaking tale of sadness and loss. But, as you get to know the characters, you realize it's all about what can be found. I highly recommend this book.

This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. It had all the elements of a good book: suspense, romance, mystery, and an inspiring ending. You really felt like you had known every character your whole life. Sam was such a likeable and relatable girl that you couldn't help putting yourself in her shoes and feeling all of her pain along wither. You really want to dive into the story and join Sam in her little town, helping with the cause and being there for every second. This is a book that really stays with you and inspires you to believe in miracles, no matter how small. I definitely want all my friends to read this book!
