Springboard Press’s mission is to publish quality prescriptive and narrative nonfiction books for the roughly 77 million Baby Boomers who are in search of inspiration, entertainment, and reinvention in their lives. Karen Murgolo is the founding Editorial Director of Springboard Press, an imprint of GCP.  She acquires and edits books that will entertain and inform readers in midlife. Among the authors she’s worked with are Bobbi Brown (Bobbi Brown Living Beauty), Kathleen Turner (Send Yourself Roses), Charles Grodin (If I Only Knew Then…Learning from Our Mistakes), Charla Krupp (How Not to Look Old), and Barbara Corcoran (Nextville: Amazing Places to Spend the Rest of Your Life).  In the past, Karen has also edited award-winning cookbooks and lifestyle and pop culture books.

  • Charles Grodin is a recipient of the William Kuntsler Award for Racial Justice and has been honored by Habitat for Humanity for his humanitarian efforts on behalf of the homeless.  He is best known for his starring roles in The Heartbreak Kid, Midnight Run and the Beethoven movies, among dozens of others.  He has written six books including the bestseller IT WOULD BE SO NICE IF YOU WEREN'T HERE.  Charles Grodin was a commentator for 60 Minutes II and is currently a commentator for CBS News.  He also writes a weekly op-ed column for the New York Daily News website.
