Grand Central Publishing (formerly Warner Books) came into existence in 1970. It became part of the Time Warner Book Group in 1998 and in 2006 was acquired by Hachette Livre; it is part of the Hachette Book Group USA (HBGUSA).
Jamie Raab is the Executive Vice President and Publisher of Grand Central Publishing (formerly Warner Books) and oversees the publication of approximately 275 titles per year on the Grand Central Publishing hardcover, mass market and trade paperback lists.
Since joining the company in 1986, she has acquired and/or edited a wide range of fiction and nonfiction titles including such New York Times bestsellers as AMERICA (The Book) by Jon Stewart and the writers of The Daily Show, DUDE, WHERE’S MY COUNTRY? by Michael Moore, and I AM AMERICA (AND SO CAN YOU!) by Stephen Colbert. Her primary areas of interest are fiction and current events, and some of the authors with whom she has worked, other than those already mentioned, include Bob Colacello, Nicholas Delbanco, Nelson DeMille, Henry Louis Gates, Jr., Jane Goodall, Billie Letts, Brad Meltzer, Jacqueline Mitchard, Rosie O’Donnell, Anne Rivers Siddons, Nicholas Sparks and Lalita Tademy.
She has a BA from the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in New York City with her husband and two children.
