Sidney Sheldon's career in entertainment began long before The Naked Face was published in 1969. It often comes as a surprise to the fans of his novels that Sheldon is the creator of three of the 1960s biggest TV hits: "The Patty Duke Show," "I Dream of Jeannie" and "Hart to Hart."

Also, Sheldon scripted the award-winning screenplays for the post-war pictures "The Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer" starring Cary Grant and "Easter Parade" starring Judy Garland and Fred Astaire.

With the success of Sheldon's novels beginning in the 1970s, it was only natural that his characters and stories found their way into our homes as the original nights of "Must-See-TV." Mini-series adaptations for Rage of Angels starring everyone's favorite angel, Jaclyn Smith, and Master of the Game starring Dyan Cannon, were both the top-rated programs on the evenings they aired.
