The 2007 James Patterson PageTurner Awards submission period will be officially open on Saturday, June 2, 2007. The awards are open to individuals who are legal residents of U.S. or Canada, and to organizations (e.g. companies, schools or any other non-individual organization based in the U.S. or Canada). This year, the awards total $250,000 and will be broken down as follows:
U.S Recipients
Individual Awards:
One (1) award in the amount of $25,000Five (5) awards each in the amount of $5,000
Five (5) awards each in the amount of $2,500
Organization Awards:
One (1) award in the amount of $50,000Two (2) awards each in the amount of $25,000
Five (5) awards each in the amount of $5,000
Fifteen (15) awards each in the amount of $2,500
Canadian recipients
One (1) award in the amount of $20,000Two (2) awards each in the amount of $2,500
Step 1: People wishing to nominate themselves, or another candidate, may do so by completing a nomination form. All nomination forms must be submitted by Sunday, December 9th, 2007 by 11:59 p.m. ET. Once received, nominees will be notified and an application will be requested.
Step 2: Applicants for awards must complete the appropriate application form, including an essay submission and list of references. Judging criteria will be posted on the online application form. The completed application form must be submitted electronically by Sunday, December 16th, 2007 by 11:59 p.m. ET.
Step 3: At the end of the submission period, the Sponsor and executives of Hachette Book Group USA) will review and judge the submissions in each category and select the winners from among all eligible applications in the category.
Step 4: Winners of the awards will be contacted directly. Winners will be announced on or about March 15, 2008. A check, payable in U.S. Dollars to the winners of the applicable award, will be sent out promptly after the announcement is made.

Any legal resident of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia or Canada (excluding Quebec) 18 years of age or older as of June 2nd, 2007 and any universities, schools, organizations and companies based in the 50 United States, District of Columbia or Canada (excluding Quebec). You may nominate yourself, your own organization, or any other person or entity.
