Book One of The Fugitives Trilogy

Meet the flock, Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, the Gasman, and Angel. We’re six kids who are pretty normal (except that we’re 98 percent human and 2 percent bird). We grew up in a lab, living like rats in cages, but now we’re free. Except for the fact that we’re prime prey for Erasers (wicked wolf-like creatures with a taste for flying humans). Our mission is to: rescue Angel from malicious mutants, infiltrate a secret facility to track down our missing parents, scavenge for sustenance, get revenge on an evil traitor, oh yeah, and save the world too.
