Richard Abanes -- bestselling author of nearly two dozen books relating to world religions, pop culture, and the entertainment industry -- has a true heart for people. His main reason for writing, he says, is to offer culturally relevant information to the world using an easy-to-understand writing style that not only honors God, but also explores eternal issues in a fascinating, personal, and even enjoyable way.

In addition to his books, Richard has penned dozens of articles for a wide assortment of major Christian magazines, and has appeared on hundreds of radio/TV talk shows including California's KCAL News 9, Extra!, MSNBC, CNN, Hard Copy, The 700 Club, Fox-News (San Diego). He has also won the Evangelical Press Association's "Higher Goals In Christian Journalism Award," as well as The Myers Center Award for the Study of Human Rights in North America for his "outstanding work on intolerance in North America."

His favorite Christian authors are C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien, while his favorite secular authors are James Patterson, John Grisham, and Dean Koontz.
