Chistopher Hitchens is widely published polemicist and frequent radio and TV commentator. He is a contributing editor to Vanity Fair and a visiting professor of liberal studies at the New School in New York. He is currently living in Washington, DC.

A STATEMENT FROM THE PUBLISHER OF TWELVE
 
We are deeply saddened by last night’s news announcing the death of Christopher Hitchens. It has been a rare and great honor to work with Christopher as the publisher of his most recent books, including the #1 New York Times bestseller god is Not Great; Hitch-22: A Memoir; Arguably: Essays, named one of the 10 Best Books of 2011 by The New York Times Book Review; and a forthcoming memoir, Mortality, based on his series of award-winning Vanity Fair essays chronicling his ordeal with cancer.
 
His writing leaves an enduring and inspiring legacy to readers everywhere. We are proud to have played our part in sharing it with the world.  He will be missed.
