Jennifer Delamere

The youngest child of a Navy pilot and a journalist, Jennifer had already lived in four states (and slept through one hurricane!) by the time she was eight years old. Her parents instilled in her a love of travel and an excitement for learning that continues to this day. Jennifer earned her B.A. in English from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where she also gained her fluency in French and developed an abiding passion for winter sports. She's been an editor of educational materials for over a decade.

When Jennifer was in high school she discovered the romantic suspense novels of Mary Stewart. She reread them all multiple times, forever sealing her conviction that romance and adventure go hand in hand. (The fact that she met her future husband while they were both on an assignment in the Pacific Northwest naturally confirms this.) No mere fangirl, Jennifer's first trip to southern France was based almost entirely around locations from one of Mary Stewart's books.

Jennifer has traveled throughout the U.S. for work and study, being of the firm belief that just about anyplace is worth visiting if you've never been there before. An avid reader of both classic novels and historical fiction, she also enjoys biographies and histories, which she mines for the vivid details to bring to life the characters and places in her books.

She now resides with her husband in North Carolina--where, when not writing or dreaming up adventures for her characters, she can be found fantasizing about her next ski trip or European vacation.
